Our Red Ribbon Week activities are off to a great start! Here is a preview for Wednesday's activities

                   “You “Can” Show Good Character”
Wear Some Red to Show You are Drug Free!
*Students will receive a “twizzler” treat.
*Can collection for Norwalk Food Pantry
*Spirit for Norwalk Football Playoff Game

Today (Monday), our class participated in the 3rd grade intramural kickball tournament at recess. We played a hard-fought game against Mrs. White's class, but unfortunately, we came up one point short! It was fun to participate in the games, and we're anxious to have more opportunities to play intramural sports during the winter months.....it will definitely give us a break from all the indoor recess I'm sure we'll have again this year! :(

As a reminder, you should be recording the titles of the books your child is reading at home in the front of his/her planner. The district goal for the end of the year is that your child will read 20 books. By this point in the year, I'd like to see that you and your child have recorded at least 6 books. This would put yourchild right on track to complete the end of the year goal. I believe there is a place to record on page 8 of the planner. This might not be the exact page, but it's close. If you have any questions, please let me know.

It's getting to be time for me to start working on report cards. I will be sharing these with you during conferences which will be held on November 9, 10, & 11. Please remember there is NO SCHOOL on November 10, 11, & 12 for students. I look forward to seeing all of you at conferences and discussing your child's progress with you.

The Norwalk Warrior football team will travel to Oskaloosa on Wednesday, October 27th, for a first round play-off game against Oskaloosa. Game time is 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in tickets for the game, you may purchase them on Tuesday from 7-5 or Wednesday from 7-4 at the High School Athletic office. There will also be long-sleeve play-off t-shirs for sale. The cost is $15. They will be sold at Lakewood on Tuesday or you can get these at the Athletic Office as well.

Have a good Tuesday!

Mrs. Vroegh
